This is an empirical truth: NOT ONE OF THE GOP CONTENDERS is worse than Barack Obama on the life issues. NOT ONE!!! You’d actually be hard pressed to find a Democrat in either the House or Senate who is as bad as Obama is on the life issues.
I promise you that I will scream the next time I hear a conservative pundit or “family issues” blogger state that they wouldn’t vote for this guy or that guy if this guy or that guy wins the GOP nomination. And if one more holier-than-thou pro-lifer quips that so-and-so would be just as bad as Obama – I’m also going to scream, but not before I whack them straight up the side of their numb-skull head.
This president is the single most pro-abortion one we have ever had, worse, this is a president who has said that banning infanticide would impede a “woman’s right to chose.” Seriously. Are you still going to insist that Gingrich, Romney, Paul et al are just as bad? If so, you’ve lost all grip on reality.
When I pointed this out to a “pro-lifer” on-line they said to me that they could not bring themselves to “compromise” by voting for a presidential candidate who wasn’t “pure in their convictions.” Buy a vowel, phone a friend, or take some Xanax. To call yourself pro-life and not vote against a man who would allow a baby outside the womb to suffocate in a linen closet for fear that some unwritten right might be violated flies in the face of reason and sanity.
Conservative pundits and GOP talking heads have books to sell, advertisement to earn and ratings to garner, they can afford to be cavalier with the things that they say and write. Pro-lifers don’t have that luxury. If we’re cavalier with our vote and our voice – children die. So not only will good pro-lifers vote for who ever the GOP nominee is, we’re going to get our family and friends to vote for them too. We’re going to go door-to-door, church-to-church, work phone banks and post on every manner of social media we can find on their behalf.
In your state’s GOP presidential preference primary, vote your heart – I am. But in the meantime and until that nominee is chosen, shut up. Seriously, just shut up. It’s ok if you have a dog in the fight, if you must encourage people to vote for your guy – do it by posting their positives. Just realize that not only is every negative thing you say, every snarky comment you make going to be used by pro-abortion forces against who ever the eventual nominee is, you may actually be discouraging another pro-lifer from voting in the general election.
When the GOP nominee is chosen you go vote for them (because WE HAVE to vote for them) and please don’t take the “I’m holding my nose” approach. Scream it from the rooftops that the guy you’re voting for is running against someone who is in favor of killing babies at every stage of gestation and even after birth.
Lastly, third or fourth party candidates equal death. If you vote for an Independent, or a “pro-life party” candidate, or even your uncle Bob, you might as well have gone into that voting booth and pulled the lever for Obama. We have to be as wise as serpents and be able to see through the clutter. Children’s lives are at stake, and more importantly – God is watching.
